The official certification title for graduates of Bhavana Recovery Institute’s core training is:

Certified Embodied Recovery Facilitator (ERF)

This title reflects the integration of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and recovery-aligned practices into clinical and supportive settings. It honors the practitioner’s capacity to embody and transmit trauma-informed presence and healing.

Why “Embodied Recovery Facilitator”?

– ‘Embodied’ emphasizes grounded presence, nervous system regulation, and somatic practice.

– ‘Recovery’ connects directly to the SUD, behavioral health, and trauma healing communities.

– ‘Facilitator’ is inclusive, trauma-informed, and welcoming to non-clinical and clinical providers alike.

Certification Pathway

Level 1: Certified Embodied Recovery Facilitator (ERF)

• Complete Bhavana Recovery core training (live or hybrid model)

• Lead 5 (30min) meditations under supervision

• Submit integration reflection and facilitator pledge

Facilitator-Level

-Certified to facilitate mindfulness and meditation practices in SUD and recovery settings

Level 2: Certified Embodied Recovery Mentor (ERM)

• Assist in 2 full trainings (live or online) OR internship hours with Bhavana Recovery Collective

• Complete supervised co-facilitation and feedback

• Submit mentorship reflections

Trainer-Level: ERM

• Certified to deliver Bhavana curriculum

• Mentors incoming ERFs and leads certification trainings
